If you are looking for an affordable apartment close to Pissouri Beach in Cyprus than consider staying in one of the studios or one-bedroom apartments in the Hylatio Tourist Village. This small friendly resort can provide everything you might need during your stay in Cyprus.
A stone's throw away from Pissouri Beach
Located only a short stroll from Pissouri Beach, Hylatio Tourist Village is a perfect place to spend your beach holiday in Cyprus.
It is also only about 30km from Paphos airport, but you need to arrange a taxi or probably better to have your own transport to reach the apartments. There is a large car park in front of the main building where you can park. If you hire a car this can be a perfect base if you want to explore Cyprus beyond Pissouri Beach, as you can be in the Troodos mountains or at Akamas peninsula in about an hour and Paphos is only 30min away. There is also a lovely local coast walk that you can do without needing any transport. And restaurants, cafes, beach bars are only a few minutes’ walk from the apartments.
The apartments
Set in the beautiful gardens the studio and one-bedroom apartments are housed in the row of neat little buildings. Each apartment at the Hylatio Tourist Village has a private terrace or balcony. There is a small bathroom and a kitchenette with fridge, kettle, some pots and pans, plates, mugs, glasses and cutlery.
The bedroom is furnished with comfortable bed(s), plenty of storage space to keep your things and there is Wi-Fi and air-conditioning in the apartments. In the open plan living area (of the one-bedroom apartments) there is a sofa bed for further guests.
Hylatio Tourist Village, Pissouri Beach
There are plenty of places to relax, you can grab a sunbed by the clean pool or seek shade in the garden. You can get your favourite drinks from the bar near the pool or chill on the terrace in front of your apartment. There is a communal area near the reception with sofas and a book corner with plenty of books in many different languages to choose from.
There were lots of lovely flowers in the well-kept garden at the time of our visit. We stayed for three nights in April which was probably still slightly off season, so we enjoyed some peaceful and quiet evenings. Pissour beach gets very busy during the summer months, so it is best to book your stay early.
Pissouri Beach, dining
You can make your breakfast in the apartment, or you can book your nights with breakfast included. The buffet style breakfast caters for tourist, so there are eggs, sausages, beans, toast, tea and coffee, and some cheese and ham, and some cereal.
There is also an option to go half board, however there are some great restaurants only 5min stroll away even closer to Pissouri Beach. We only had breakfast in the resort and didn’t have any other meals as we were out walking and exploring all day. However, if you just want to relax throughout the day, not worrying about finding places to eat, you will have everything here.
Summary
Pissour Beach is a great location to explore the south and west of Cyprus, so it can serve as a wonderful base for your trip. All in all we had a wonderful time there and the staff at Hylatio was absolutely amazing and always helpful. Our nights were peaceful so we always woke up fully rested and ready for another day of adventure.
