Darn Tough socks
We have been given a couple of pairs of Darn Tough socks for testing. We took these beauties for short and long hikes in all weathers and I have to say that we were not disappointed by the quality and comfort of the socks.

The look
The socks are not just comfortable but also come in attractive designs. There are countless designs to choose from on their website. Their designs predominantly follow an outdoor theme throughout their range, but if you want a more conventional look, you can find a simple stripy design too.

Darn Tough manufactures their socks of the most versatile performance fabric, Merino wool that is best known for its softness, durability and even moisture-wicking properties. Merino wool is just the perfect material for socks that are made especially for active sports, like hiking and running as it is thermoregulating and odour resistant. Now, that last bit is especially useful on longer treks where you are less likely to put on new pair of socks every day. Darn Tough socks are not as thick or bulky as you might expect wool socks to be, therefore they are suitable to be worn in any climate. Darn Tough also uses Lycra and nylon for elasticity. It is especially important on the parts of the socks where it gets more wear.

We will continue to wear the pairs we have and see how long these will last, but I believe we will get some more Darn Tough socks as they are very cool and a truly amazing product.
